A surcharge of 10% applies on Sundays and 15% on Public Holidays. OUTSIDE SEATING: please note this is subject to the weather and we may not be able to move your reservation inside in the case of bad weather.     Some of the best food I've had in Melbourne. Our servers were fantastic at helping us navigate the menu and assisted my partner with vegan modifications. The dishes are beautifully curated and immaculately presented.

    Even though Olivine is a wine bar, I mostly go there for the delicious food. The steak, chicken, terrine & pate, the brussels sprouts (swoon) and fries are all great. The wine's always good too. The fitout looks lovely, but sadly the designers prioritised form over function - the cell bench seating is really uncomfortable! Nevertheless, the ambience is great and I like the idea of us all collectively creating a new, more positive cultural memory to sit alongside the history of the place. If you haven't been, I definitely recommend a visit. Do leave time to check out the historical info in the unrestored cells; it feels important to honor and try to understand the story of the place while we're there.
