We have been here before and will be back again, but tonight was a bit of a challenge. Food was great, and service worked tremendously hard, but they were oversubscribed and understaffed. Come here for the food AND the service, but do NOT do it during graduation week! We had to wait 30 minutes on a 7:30pm reservation that I had confirmed three hours earlier, and there is no waiting area so you are on the street starring in. Coca, Bimi, Fabada, Patatas Alioli, Patatas Bravas, Pequillos Rellanos, and Tocino were all delicious. Wine recommendation was solid and reasonably priced. It is very loud - both in fun and annoying ways - but the atmosphere is pleasant. We will be back, but on a non-grad night.

If you have a show at the Warfield, this is a great place to book - only 1/2 a block away. Good food, the Pinsas are delicious, with a nice chewy dough and many delicious toppings. Some good quality antipastos to choose from, and quite a few wine and beer choices. We got the spicy sausage and broccolini pinsa, and it was very good. The vanilla panna cotta with wild fennel pollen was a bit disappointing, but the espresso was great. Again, not much of a reason to visit the area outside of the Warfield, and parking is a bit tough to find, but the food and ambiance was great.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at CoCo Noir. Shannon, the manager was very knowledgeable and friendly and made me feel right at home. I was able to meet the owner as well, she was able to give us the history behind CoCo Noir and an overall view of Oakland and it's wine journey. I will always visit CoCo Noir when I am in town!!!
