We celebrated our anniversary at Hurrica and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, acknowledging our special occasion in a way that felt personal and thoughtful without being over the top. One especially sweet touch: at the end of our meal, our server presented us with a handwritten anniversary card signed by the team—such a heartfelt gesture that made the night even more special. The food was outstanding. We started with the milk bread, which was pillowy and packed with flavor, and then shared the wagyu and lobster—both were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was just as impressive, with a vibrant yet relaxed vibe and stunning views overlooking the harbour. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to offer proper shellfish forks. The fork provided was slightly too large for the lobster, which made it a bit tricky to enjoy every last bite of that delicious meat. All in all, a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back—and recommending Hurrica to friends for their own special occasions.

We are so fortunate to live near this restaurant! Considering the cost of living for San Mateo, the price for the AYCE experience is definitely worth it. We just recently celebrated our 2-year anniversary here, and everything was wonderful, from the service to the food and the live musicians. We have also dined here on Valentine's Day, which was very busy, so I would recommend not booking a holiday if you prefer a more relaxed and intimate dining experience. We didn't mind the crowd on Valentine's Day because it's to be expected, and we really appreciated the calm atmosphere for our anniversary as well. Our server was lovely, and the amazing gauchos came by frequently. I got to try all the cuts I was hoping for! I highly recommend the pineapple mint juice for non-alcoholic drinkers; it's super refreshing and helps with digestion. For the same reason, I also recommend the grilled pineapple and the mango salad from the buffet. Our favorites for meat were the top sirloin, picanha, filet mignon, and chicken hearts. I also enjoyed the flank steak as well as the beef rib! Everything was very flavorful and cooked to our preference (medium rare to rare), but I'm sure anyone could request a different temperature with no issue. We received a complimentary ice cream with a candle to celebrate our anniversary (I had mentioned in my reservation), which was a very pleasant surprise to my partner (who did not know I mentioned it in the reservation haha). All in all, a fantastic restaurant to celebrate any occasion or simply to enjoy a great meal. We look forward to dining here again in the near future.

Consistently great food including the filet, skirt steak, creamed spinach and Izzy’s potatoes. Great attentive service too.

There were a couple items on menu and specials menu that were not available. The second round of drinks were very flow to come out. Otherwise a good experience.
