It may be surprising, but the four curry dishes we ordered were totally different in flavour and texture each being absolutely delicious. Service was prompt and friendly, with a minimal wait until the food arrived. While not extensive, the drinks menu, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, provided sufficient options for everyone in our group. The cost of both food and drink was extremely reasonable.

We decided to go to Oydis for a quick drink and early dinner but we saw the monthly special was on and stayed for the hoppers. We were easily accommodated in the dining room, mulled wine was lovely and the tasting menu delectable. Service is always a high standard and the selection of food and beverages unique in Ashburton. No need to head into the city!

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Araliya yesterday, and it was truly fantastic from start to finish. The food was exceptional—every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it perfect for both a special occasion or a casual night out. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel looked after without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally outstanding, but Araliya nailed it. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back!
