We went for $1 oysters, which were good value. They were local Chesapeakes, and good enough to eat 2 dozen between us. We also had a delicious scallop appetizer, the very good fried calamari and the excellent artichoke. That was enough for dinner for 2 of us. We drank the draft beer because the wine list is limited and not very good. The draft IPA's went well with the food. The place is very cute. It looks and acts like a speakeasy, so you have to knock on the door and give the name your reservation is made under to get in. It is not entirely obvious from the street where it is, but if you have the address yoiou can easily figure it out. It was noisy, especially in the back where some loud and seemingly drunk people were hanging out. I do not hold that against Code Red, rude people can be anywhere. Once they left, it was better. We like this place and will go back.

The manger today at 7 pm was awesome. Superlative service.

I absolutely loved The Alchemist! The entire menu was crafted so thoughtfully & I wanted to try every single drink! I like how this cocktail bar is more of an experience, with unique drinks & then an extra flare with smoke bubbles, flames, or that magic touch. I would 100% go back!
