- NNatalieVIPPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our second time to Amada (had a fabulous first experience). This time was equally as great. Our server was obviously new but wonderful and attentive. We did tapas and it was once again great and such a fun/different dining experience!More infoAmada RadnorPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Wayne•4.6
- AAnitaPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jul 14, 2025This was our second experience here at Tapas on Main, since they brought in a ringer for a manager! He is incredibly organized and has trained his staff so well that we are just in awe. They deserve a Michelin Star, in my opinion. I'm going to write to the Michelin critics and let them know that this is always one of the most consistently excellent dining experiences we've had, and we eat out way too much! We were welcomed and addressed by name, and the manager, whose name escapes me at the moment, planted a glass of champagne in front of each of us. Compliments on your anniversary of 35 years! From Tapas on Main to you, we toasted. We ordered a flight of Sangria and a glass of Tempranillo wine. All were excellent. Then came the food!!The Alcachofas (artichokes) were grilled to perfection; you could taste the smokiness, but it wasn't overwhelming. They were drizzled with a lemon white balsamic that was creamy and incredibly delicious. We had the Manchego Apple Empanadas, served with a spicy honey sauce (that was not spicy, thank goodness). Our server, Maria Jose, was personable, efficient, friendly, and professional. She helped make our experience so delightful. l I had explained my sensitivity to heat in foods, and she said she was well, and heat sensitivity is often subjective, and that the honey sauce was absolutely not spicy. She knew her menu! The sauce was reminiscent of a maple syrup and honey combination, but not too sweet! How they managed to pull that off is beyond me. We requested no powdered sugar, and they followed our request. So many times, those details get lost in the kitchen. Not here and with this well-seasoned manager in charge. It was a quiet Monday, and we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We decided to do it at Tapas on Main because our last experience was so great. Then we had the crispy loaded potato pierogies, they were served with fresh sofrito! OMG! Mind and taste buds were blown with this dish; each one was perfect.More infoTapas On MainPrice: Moderate• Spanish• Bethlehem•4.4
- AAnitaSan Francisco Bay Area •23 reviews4.0Dined on Jul 6, 2025I was a frequent diner at Mixto for years. Even taking my boys to breakfast there when they were young. We have since moved to the West Coast so I was looking forward to enjoying my favorite dish of arroz con pollo. Well…, I’m not sure what went down with the recipe for this dish but it was super disappointing. The chicken was tough with tendons running through it, the sausage was tough and cut into little bit sized dry pieces, and the dish lacked flavor. We felt like we were eating colored rice and that’s it! The best part of the dish was the plantain. I’m not sure who is back there making the arroz con pollo but they need to reevaluate that recipe and do better. I’m so disappointed.More infoMixtoPrice: Moderate• Cuban• Center City•4.6
