Best Southern American Restaurants in Cerritos

Joyce Soul and Sea hit all the right notes. Every bite felt like home from the crispy, spicy Nashville Hot Fried Catfish to the smoky, fall-off-the-bone Duck Confit glazed in sweet heat. The Elote, topped with blue crab, was a fresh and flavorful surprise, and the Cast Iron Mac & Cheese was everything comfort food should be—rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying. Now that I live in LA, I feel lucky to have this little slice of the South in my neighborhood. Joyce is a true gem.

Great place to grab lunch and people watch from the patios. Before leaving we stopped by the bar for an extra drink during their happy hour and bartender was amazing and friendly. The vibe in the dining room and bar where full of energy and fun. Great food, service and drinks. Great place to take a break from the parks to unwind.

We had a lovely dinner to celebrate my father’s birthday. Elyse our server was very nice and attentive, she comped our drinks because the coffee machine was broken and we had ordered coffee because it was so cold so that was really nice. Gabby the manager even came over several times to make sure we were having a terrific experience. Gabby was so sweet and made us feel like we were family and kept checking on us to make sure our food was perfect, she even brought us togo containers before we needed to ask because she saw we were going to need them. Gabby even made sure that my Dad was brought out a delicious birthday dessert! Elyse & Gabby provided excellent service and we will definitely be back very soon. Sauced BBQ & Spirits will be added to our regular restaurant rotation now!
