This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we had a very nice experience. The Negroni cocktail that I had to start was delicious, as was the Burrata with chutney appetizer. Highly recommend! For our main courses, we got to the Masala chicken Parmesan, which was excellent and the lamb lasagna, which was also very good. We also ordered Naan bread with garlic, which was outstanding. Service was a little slow, but there were only two servers and a good number of people in the restaurant; knowing how hard it is for restaurants to get staff these days, we were not troubled by it. Our only mild complaint is that the back room where most of the patrons were seated, got very loud as the evening went on and it was a bit hard to hear each other. But overall we absolutely recommend Zafferano Ristorante and plan to dine there again.

Sea bass was amazing but pricey. Service was great. I’d go again.

We went to rare for the first time, although we previously lived in Madison, but prior to their opening, it was to celebrate our 50th anniversary in Madison, where we were married. We were a bit, unsure about going due to the Art fear being set up on the Square and potential concerns with parking however, we took an Uber that was a wise choice however it appeared to have access at the ramps so it wasn’t that busy and we wound up sitting on the patio an absolutely beautiful night. The weather was perfect and there were a few people dining outside and scattered tables that were working inside we were promptly greeted by the manager, maître D avoid trade, forgot his name already, but they immediately acknowledged why we were there and congratulated us and offered us the table of our choice in or out. He also came back after we were seated and poured my wife and I a glass of very enjoyable champagne. Our server, Amelie was absolutely fantastic and really made the evening from her knowledge of the menu and recommendations and wonderful conversation throughout the evening along with the front of house manager absolutely was special acknowledging our special evening. It really polished the entire experience, but I must say the food was great. We shared the Porter house for two or let’s just say it was the 36 ounce Porter house. It was more than enough for two to finish. The lobster bisque is a must. The unique flavoring utilized was unlike any I’ve ever had and I’ve sampled many. We enjoyed the salads of the Caesar in house, very fresh and well dressed, hashbrowns and mushrooms, rounded out our dinner course and we’re more than substantial. Dessert courses, including a complementary retreat fantastic. This was truly special occasion made better by Amelie in the front of house manager who are very sincere. I also thought pricing was very fair and quite reasonable highly highly recommend.

We have never had a bad meal at Ruth Chris in Middleton, WI. Calamari app. Was very tasty and portion was plentiful for 3-4 people. Steaks are great and so are the sides. Salads and sides are perfect for two. Ruth’s is our go to for a special occasion.
