The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

    Exceptional food served in such a wonderful setting, right on the beach. The outlook was relaxing and we felt like we were abroad. I had the smoked mackerel pate which was smooth and perfectly seasoned. My main course was the seafood linguine which was full of large prawns, clams and mussels in a delicate white wine and garlic sauce. Our waitress, Emma was great. Friendly and efficient, but left us enjoy our food with no rush. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

    Very friendly and helpful staff…the waiter was very patient when we were indecisive about whether to eat inside or out! Fish & chips were delicious with lovely thin & crispy batter I the fish.

    1st time a Rocksalt & won’t be our last. Overall experience was very good, staff were excellent & the food was amazing. Good value for a very special experience.

    Went for lunch on a Saturday 2.30. Lovely setting in the countryside. Was a lovley sunny day,sat inside but the outside doors were open,letting a nice breeze in. Food was fantastic,service top class. Would highly recommend.

    From the moment we arrived and by the time we left we were made to feel at home. A relaxed atmosphere excellent music and exceptionally good food and service. This was our second time here and will be back again. One of my favourite places to eat. Jenny, Graham & Sophia
