Lovely meal, plenty of good choices on both set menu (very good value too) and main menu. Pleasant and efficient service.

The sunshine helped of course, but we had a lovely lunch-time experience at the Plough at Effingham. It has been newly refurbished inside, with a smart ladies loo, including Bramley soap and hand lotion. There is new wooden furniture at the front and the back garden is calm and sunny with trees and shrubs. I understand that cushions will soon be supplied for the seats. The food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and we felt very welcome and relaxed.

Food was amazing and the staff are lovely. This is the second time we have visited recently and will definitely be returning.

We went for Sunday lunch at The Star and I would definitely recommend it. Not many people in, which is a shame, but the food was good and the service was very friendly and efficient. We'll be going back!

Lovely restaurant - excellent food and good service. Big sports screens in the bar - not sure they are really necessary later in the evening in all areas. Very good value and will definitley return.
