Loved the wine dinner. Delicious and unusual food. Great servers. Enjoyed the presenters’ assessments of the wines served. Interesting personal sharing from the owner and presenters. Even on a cloudy, gray day, Chart House is the best view in the city! Unequaled! Food is excellent and it was full on a Wednesday. They were resurfacing the parking lot so the attendant had to squeeze cars in where he could. They did a fine job of taking care of the cars and the people! Wonderful lunch!

Jake’s is a Portland classic where we felt the Old Portland vibe with historic photos and early 1900’s decor. On a Friday night at 6:30 there was a lively crowd but not overwhelmingly so. The menu is mainly populated with traditional fish and steaks but also choices to satisfy a wide range of tastes. We ordered starters and salads followed by a main. Food was brought course by course so that we each had our own meal - eaten at a comfortable pace. (Versus restaurants who focus on sharing plates and food brought when completed by the kitchen.) Service was impeccable. At our table the iced tea glasses were replaced numerous times, new glasses of wine brought just when emptied, water glasses kept topped up. Our dinner was celebrating two birthdays. We were delighted by molten chocolate mug cakes to share at the end of our generous meal. We were looking for a classic experience- very professionally executed. Jake’s came through with flying colors.

As usual, the food at Oswego grill was excellent. We both had a steak and they were cooked perfectly and served hot. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Upon realizing it was our anniversary, they presented us with an amazing treat for desert! Excellent value all round.

My wife and I went here for our 6th anniversary and we're not disappointed. Thw staff serving us abd around us that hears wished us a happy anniversy respectfully. The server was very attentive filling water and asking if we needed anything frequently. The food was very flavorful and very well made. And the experience overall was quite pleasent they even gave us a complimentary slice of cake with a little tag that said happy anniversary.

The food preparation was exquisite from the perfectly cooked halibut and crab with pimento sauce, to roasted broccolini, and lovely bread pudding for desert. Our server, Sharon, is a real professional, with just the right amount of friendliness and ultimate efficiency. A memorable experience in a gracious restaurant well deserving of its stellar reputation.
