At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. The attention to detail are evident in not only the food they make but also the ambience they have created. The interior of the restaurant is natural brick and the couple have chosen a rich color palette of deep blues and greens for the walls. An elegant chandelier hangs over a natural wood backed booth providing both a cozy and elegant feel to the room. Outside on the spacious patio, a magnificent redwood tree provides natural shade to the built in seating area and plants are abundant creating a lush, garden setting. Delarosa is an Italian-style restaurant in downtown San Francisco. It has a free and open design with large, communal tables for many different guests to share during a meal. There is also stool seating around the edges of the restaurant near the bar area. This is a well lit restaurant with long lines of bright pendants lights hanging from the ceilings. Pizza is the main focus at Delarosa, but other Italian cuisine is also offered. During the weekdays, a lunch and dinner menu is offered with frittis, paninis, spiedinis and pasta with your choice of sauce meats and toppings.     We started at Happy Hour and didn't want to leave :) This place is truly a neighborhood gem. Along with good food and drinks, the aura was top tier. There was a nice mix of families, friends, couples and everyone seemed to have a great time. The owner was there watering the flowers and flashing his welcoming smile to the guests. The interior is so well put together, comfortable yet elegant, and lives up to the tagline "swanky pizza lounge." We would 100% recommend and will be going back to try more dishes. For the food - we had the meatballs appetizer with the fried dough, vodka rigatoni, little gem salad with anchovy, caccio de pepe, blueprint pizza and canoli, shared between two people. Plenty of food with a small container of leftovers for midnight snack. At one point we mixed the meatballs with the rigatoni and they complemented each other well. I personally enjoyed the house chili sauce and added a touch of that to the pizza and rigatoni with a dash of chili flakes. It adds a very light spice w/out changing the flavors too much. They have a good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. But just in case you wanted to bring your own bottle of wine, there is no corkage fee. We were so elated, it's unique and is much appreciated. The cannoli flight with a shot of espresso was a perfect way to finish the meal.

    Always great going to Che Fico at Thrive City! The Host recognized me- they have a great team there. The pizza is 1st rate. We ordered the potato chips as well and those were wonderful. The other patrons are friendly- a really nice demographic- friends, families, co-workers, a great group of folks to dine with. Views are amazing, space heaters are working and warm. I know I'm going to enjoy my meal, the company, the staff and a basketball game whenever I'm there.
