A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Chef/Owner Anthony Mangieri has been crafting naturally-leavened, wood-fired pizzas with meticulous attention to detail since 1996.     Our server, Erin, was extremely attentive and focused on our meal experience. The food was to its usual tasteful abundance; a very good value for its price! The restaurant itself, however, needs a refresh. One of the electric hand dryers in the men’s room no longer works. The tables in the dining area need to be replaced as they seem to date from when the restaurant opened -decades ago.

    As always an absolutely amazing time! The staff, food and place is simply incredible! A hidden gem in the heart of Ridgewood! Definitely must try and I tell everyone about it! Love this place!
