WHO WE AREBack in 2008, we set out to create a warm and inviting local favorite, a destination that would celebrate some of the best things in life - friends and family, craft beer, whiskey, great food and great music. We started small with one big coal-fired oven and only a few seats, then added more seats and a giant mural paying homage to the greats, and then we built the Whiskey Bar. We are grateful to you, the Stamford Community and beyond, our friends and neighbors, our families, for supporting us right from the start. To us, YOU are Coalhouse and this is YOUR spot! So let’s get together again as we begin our tenth year and enjoy more soulful Jazz & Blues, hand-painted portraits of the greats, cigar box guitars, hand-made découpage tables, and continue to explore an ever evolving and extensive menu of great food crafted with passion and love, made the old fashioned way.

Our third visit to Stellina in less than a month, and it never disappoints! This time, we brought along our aunt, a true foodie with a deep love for Italian cuisine—and she was absolutely blown away by the experience. It’s rare to find a place that combines incredible food with such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, but Stellina does it effortlessly. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was cozy yet elegant, with an energy that felt both lively and intimate. The staff was, as always, attentive and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The real charm of Stellina is how they make you feel like you’re part of their family, while serving food that’s as authentic and delicious as anything you’d find in Italy. Our aunt, who is already planning her next trip back, was so impressed that she couldn’t stop raving about it. If you haven’t been to Stellina yet, do yourself a favor and go. Whether you're a longtime fan of Italian cuisine or a first-timer, the food, ambiance, and service here are guaranteed to make you a repeat customer. Can’t wait for our next visit! Highly recommend.

Really nice venue and service. Spacious and high ceilings. Sally’s expanded much better than Pepe’s. Their pizza (apizza!) remained more authentic to the original New Haven one. Make sure you make reservations! Without reservations you may not get the best seating. When the weather is nice outside seating is a bonus.

I've been wanting to eat here for a long time so brought my west coast sister and nephew who were craving NY pizza. Our server was awesome! The front room has a funky, lively vibe. The food was ok. My nephew had the margarita, sis had the lemon pizza and I had the pepperoni version. For someone who ate often at a famed Bushwick establishment, Parlor is only 80% as good by comparison. The crust here is too dense for me. Our salad was great but the calamari order was over-fried and our drinks were poor approximations of an old fashioned. Maybe it was just an off night given other reviews have inspired me to put this on my "must go" list. Still better than most pizza in lower Westchester and the location is iconic Rivertown so I'd say give it a try.
