Norah Belmont is a BIPOC women-owned, plant-focused Pan-Asian restaurant in Southeast Portland. Our name comes from Manorah, a traditional dance from Southern Thailand that celebrates community, vitality, and togetherness—values that guide everything we do.Norah was co-founded by Nan Chaison, a Thai-born, Portland-based restaurateur, bar director, and lifelong host at heart, alongside Prae Nobnorb. Shaped by her experience as an immigrant working in kitchens, bars, and community spaces, Nan’s approach centers on comforting food, thoughtful drinks, and genuine hospitality—creating a space that feels like home.Opened in December 2022, Norah Belmont is rooted in Thai cuisine while embracing broader Pan-Asian influences. Our all-vegan, gluten-free–friendly menu is designed for sharing and celebrating, paired with carefully crafted cocktails. Guests can enjoy our food in a warm indoor setting or on our inviting patio.
