I and my friends loved it, it was a beautiful experience and food was so good.

The food and service here is always next level. The creativity and the thought behind every dish is extraordinary. It is like experiencing the art of fine dining at the most interesting and unique level. The restaurant recently changed its format so you enter an ancillary dining room for cocktails and canapes along with an explanation of the meal and the wine pairings. Then you move to the main dining room for the meal. This felt performative and awkward. Moreover, the person doing the explaining mixed up identifying the vegetables on the demonstration platter -- an error that is beneath the level of this restaurant. I would have preferred being seated directly. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Every meal here is truly memorable.

We love Donna’s! Food was excellent and lots of spring touches from ramps to rhubarb. The one thing we struggled with was the noise level. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed with a large group in the back. This impacted the noise and slightly impacted the service level for us. Excited they are doing well but noise was a challenge.

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.

The beet ravioli salad was unique and delicious. The entrees were good portions and very tasty.
