The food at the Marquis of Lorne was a surprise. I knew it would be good, I didn’t realise it would be that good. There were intelligent and creative vegetarian options - the Jerusalem artichoke, mushroom and gruyere pie was a standout. And how did they get potato cakes to do that? I’d go back just for those. The blue cheese gnocchi was delicious AND gluten free. There’s the usual steak or fish option (would appreciate if there was another option rather than just peppercorn) and a version of burger and chips. Staff are cheerful and personable. Sitting in front of the fire at the Marquis of Lorne amongst a buzzing happy crowd on a cold night is a great way to spent an evening.

Food and restaurant service all good. We went on the Art Tour and very much a let down. Group of 12 was too large for some of the small rooms, walk too slow and unsure about the curation of the art - very staged. More suited to old women book club group.

Immerse Winery truly lives up to its name—what a beautiful place to get immersed in great food, exceptional wine, and warm, welcoming service. From the attentive waitstaff to the knowledgeable wine tasting team, every interaction was top-notch. The food was fresh and flavourful, the grounds are stunning and clearly well looked after, and the whole experience felt like a relaxed, enjoyable getaway. Highly recommend for a memorable lunchtime treat!
