Pleasant environment, good food, good value - a good meeting place

We had the set theatre menu. Service was quick with all courses coming out in a timely manner. Both our waiter and the matre'd were very responsive to our needs and made is feel like old friends. The food was visually appeally and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were themed to the local show at the recent. Very impressed - was an exceptional experience for a date night.

The environment is very elegant, and there aren't many people, so it's not crowded. Because it was a bit cold today, even though there were no customers in the store at that time, the heating was still turned on in advance. The dishes are very delicious. I think this is the best steak I've ever had in Melbourne. Finally, I would like to say that the service here is very good. I especially want to thank the staff today, which made this anniversary even more complete.

I really like this place. Attention to detail is first class and the staff, outstanding. I thought i recognised the head waiter but she certainly remembered me- after over a year! She knew I liked the cooler Chablis sites which is either great memory or data systems above the norm. Wines outstanding and the food on point but perhaps a little restrained but certainly quality. Wierd oasis like location up an escalator in a non descript inner city mixed buisness setting and almost trying to be hidden, but once inside its a step inside a French wine bar. Great pre dinner setting or a special occasion place but wouldn’t go here if you are looking for “cheap eats” or you are super hungry.

Honestly, the food was pretty good but not out of this world, 7-8/10 though so shoutout to you guys. You know what was outstanding? The service from the lady who served our table she was the best.
