Service was welcoming, polite & very quick. Food was well presented. Noise level was not overbearing, the restaurant was filled with lots of ladies, chatting & heading to the theatre. So the noise for that night would be expected. Located perfectly for a QPAC show after dinner.

I thought the young lady who was checking names on arrival could have been more welcoming. We were quite literally the first table to arrive on Mother’s Day morning. Having booked an inside table, on the Open Table website approx 10 days prior, she suggested our family of 4 sit outside, on a drizzly and wet overcast day. While this was quickly resolved she then overlooked wishing my wife a Happy Mother’s Day. Again, quite small on its own but a simple gesture that would have made a big impact. Aside from this we enjoyed our meals and the manager made a point of engaging with us as we were preparing to leave. He even wished my wife a Happy Mother’s Day! Yes, we will come back. Thank you.

Its my 4th time to Essa and its fantastic as always. The food is incredible, the wine superb and the atmosphere is moody and intimate without being too dark. Would always recommend.

Breakfast on Sunday. The selection from the menu was basic but served hot and very nice. The club was a bright, clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and service was great. The club itself has a lovely view of boats and water. Yes I would recommend a visit.
