The food, ambiance and service was great. Not a good place for a chat. I was sitting at a table for two ( turned the long way ) and i had to lip read my partner all night as i just couldn't hear her . Did not have that issue last time I came seated at at table for 4 but it was earlier in the night so maybe was quieter then .

We had the lunch menu which was totally scrumptious and great value. Food and staff were delightful. A shame not more people in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Thé owner of Cafe Japelle went out of his way to make our dining experience enjoyable We had booked a table but the only available were outdoors. It’s was a cold day and the owner moved us inside as soon as he was able to. The service, food and attention was fantastic.
