Best Southwest American Restaurants in Mount Vernon

Food and decor are always top notch. Sometimes service is slow or plates come at different times—but hard to complain. Only suggestion is to sit outside when there's live music. It sounds fantastic, but they use microphones/speakers and it's impossible to hear yourself think, let alone speak.

The ambiance is warm, inviting and lovely. Santa Fe has a great quesidilla! The black bean dip and romaine salad are both excellent. I would definitely recommend Santa Fe and will return!

My experience here was exceptional. The restaurant itself is very affordable, the service we received was outstanding. Will definitely return in the future.

Gabriela's is warm and welcoming and full of great aromas. The menu and the staff pay attention to allergies and special needs in a careful but casual way, so you don't feel pressured. The food feels like Mexican home cooking. The bar is busy and it can get noisy, but it is a friendly place and that vibe extends throughout the room.
