Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Monsey

I love varka. Food is Great. Servers could be a little friendlier and beautiful restaurant. I save my visits there for special occasions because dinner menu is a bit pricey. Great lunch menu too! Fixed price menu for lunch and you get a lot for your money!

Amazing. Nothing like it in the area, even in nyc. Just go.

We were meeting my cousin who I hadn’t seen in a year, she was taking us out for our Anniversary. I had requested a table in the front room, but when we got there the room had a private party. Seeing my disappointment, the hostess asked if I was looking for a quiet table, which we were. She put us in one of the private rooms, in a corner booth meant for six even though we were only three. It was such a cozy and private space, we had plenty of room to spread out but still enjoy quiet conversation. The waitress was exceptional, helping us with our choices, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent, beautifully presented. All in all, as usual, Aqua Terra did not disappoint. We will definitely return!

Food was wonderful- 5 of us shared a selection of hot and cold appetizers, as well as 2 entrees. One, a daily special entree tuna kabob was truly outstanding! Service was attentive and cheerful. Unfortunately we dined during the heat wave and one AC unit was out of order so it was way too hot even inside. However, we will definitely go back to this unassuming yet excellent restaurant.

The food was great, tasty, and nicely portioned. The homemade meatballs were delicious with a prefect texture. The veggie flatbread pizza was also excellent. The service was sub par, very slow and included the wrong drink orders twice and an omitted a side dish. There was only one Sauvignon wine on the menu and they were out of it which seems strange since it’s a “wine bar”. The waiter, who was very nice apologized for explaining that he was a new hire and still learning.
