Cuando el restaurante Movida abrió sus puertas en 2003, nadie sabía qué esperar de este pequeño bar ubicado en una callejuela llena de grafitis que servía tapas españolas y platillos para compartir, con un espacio poco iluminado y música de moda de fondo. Diez años más tarde, el restaurante original sigue en plena forma y cuenta con nuevos locales en Melbourne y Sídney. Always incredible. From the service to the food to the sherry to the wine, Movida is always exceptional. Standouts (everything always is) on this visit were the Olive oil poached tuna, the Snapper with smoked crème fraiche and pickled Strawberries, the John Dory with anchovy butter special (amazing) and the Goat neck. The Rioja Alta Vina Arana wine recommendation was perfect. We don’t get over to Melbourne as much as we’d like these days, but every trip for the last 10 years involves lunch at Movida and it always leaves us smiling for the rest of the trip.

Great service. Staff very attentive (we had a theatre show to go to) very efficient. Food was absolutely amazing. Too bad we couldn’t stay longer. Definitely going back to enjoy the food and wine.

Love the deco and interior. Amazing service by everyone. The tuna Crudo, burger special and wine were delicious. Will be back!
