Excellent experience, beautiful restaurant with a stunning small menu and amazing wait staff.

erything about Fontana is fabulous! The food, the staff, the settings. It’s feels like entering a secret must-know spot as the street entrance is tucked between and chicken shop on one side and a kebab shop on the other. The cheerful wallpapered stairs lead up into a cosy eatery with the most delightful staff. The service is truly great, the staff are so knowledgeable about the menu and explain each dish in great detail with a lot of pride, it’s fantastic. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavour - the whipped Bacalao - what a wonder!, the anchovies on the pillowy fried bread - yum! The ricotta and garlic bread bursting with melted butter goodness. The rabbit ragu and bistecca also excellent dishes. For me, the streak was one of the best I’ve had. And the fresh garden salad was the perfect match with a lovely acidic dressing. One of the best meals of the year for sure and coupled with the wonderful service, no doubt we’ll be back again. And the servers were so lovely accommodating a couple of drop ins in what was a really busy night - thank you again!

We had such a great experience at Pellegrino 2000 from the moment we were welcomed by Dom at the door, through out our entire seating looked after by Anthony. All the food recommendations we went with and loved them all, along with the drink selection too. The whole team were so amazing, food, bar staff along with the atmosphere. There is a reason we were the first booking and almost the last people to leave.
