Best Indian Restaurants in Fisherman's Wharf

This continues to be one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Convenient location across the street from Powell BART station. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. I appreciated all the gluten free offerings. The restaurant used to be elegant and quiet. It has gotten more popular; when we went, it was crowded and noisy. It also could use some 'refreshing' in terms of appearance. It's fine now but it used to be beautiful.

Tiya is an absolutely beautiful experience for the taste, the eyes and the smell. The way the chefs have cared about every single dish and brought out such rich flavors is fantastic. We had the vegetarian tasting menu, it was a great mix of traditional Indian flavors combined with infusion of other tastes; our family of 4 really enjoyed it. The chaat, the asparagus and the payasam dessert were top notch. The staff and ambience were great too.
