Very few really great Greek restaurants in the suburbs, but this is one of the best.More infoMolos Greek Taverna RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Greek• Wheaton•4.7

I asked my family what y’all rate the restaurant everybody said 10/10 and we all will definitely go back I’m still tasting that chicken it was seasoned so good with lemon and the potatoes was sooo goodMore infoVIOLIPrice: Moderate• Greek• Oakbrook Terrace•4.6
- MMarianneVIPChicago / Illinois •183 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe dined at Basil’s to celebrate our 1st date 22 years ago at this restaurant when it was Lorenzo’s. Different name but the ambiance is the same, the service and food still very good. Elvia greeted us warmly and showed us to a reserved table with a beautiful flower arrangement to make it special. The menu was printed special with “Happy Anniversary.” Our server was Nicholas who we came to find out has been at the restaurant for 25 years, before our 1st date. We chatted about people we knew years ago. Nicolas provided attentive great service. He brought us complimentary champagne in recognition of our celebration, too. My husband ordered the baklava old fashioned, which was a tasty cocktail. Need to get that for myself next time. We shared the grilled octopus appetizer, which was a large tentacle perfectly grilled on a bed of arugula. So good. We each had a bowl of the avegolemono soup next. My favorite! My only complaint is that I can never enjoy the bread as it’s sesame seed crusted. I really wish they would offer the same bread without the seeds as an alternative. It’s the only negative as I can’t do nuts/seeds. For dinner, we each had the Mediterranean Combo. I had the petite lamb kebobs and lamb meatballs with Greek potatoes. The kabobs were seasoned well but cooked too well done for me. I like lamb cooked medium rare, but they still were delish. The meatballs were amazing and the Greek potatoes were lemony good. My husband enjoyed his combo of dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and spanakopita (spinach pie) with Greek potatoes. To end the meal we shared the Galaktobouriko, a baked orange custard in phyllo dough. Oh yum! We had such a wonderful evening. Basil’s always makes it special for us and we never miss going on February 1st of every year. I made sure to let Elvia know just how much their efforts meant to us. I definitely recommend Basil’s for any occasion or a date night or a summer night on the patio.More infoBasils DiningPrice: Expensive• Greek• Aurora•4.8

The food was also excellent. We visited during Restaurant Week and had the prix fixe menu. The chicken was delicious, and the seafood pasta, though rich, was also very good. The service was great as well, though at times it felt a bit rushed due to the staff being very attentive. Overall, it was a lovely experience!More infománaPrice: Expensive• Greek• La Grange•4.5
