First visit, based on good reviews and cookies. And not disappointed, atmosphere even though a quiet Saturday afternoon, was excellent, friendly staff and very helpful, good range of specials, focusing on fish in particular from regular supplier. Dog friendly, organised, clean throughout, a village pub with a professional approach. Parking was a little restricted but easy to find and will happily go again and heartily recommend

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Great value too.

We loved the character of the place. For example the display of old carpenters’ tools. Staff are friendly. We would definitely return here to try more dishes. The vegetable spring rolls were delicious and proved to be an excellent nibble prior to the sharing plate of surf and turf. The sharing plate was more than enough for the both of us. We finished with a lemon posset and a mango/coconut sundae both of which made a good finish to the meal.
