A gorgeous setting as we were able to sit outside in the garden by the river to enjoy the sunshine. Lovely friendly service, even in the garden, and delicious food. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch and we will certainly return. Slightly expensive but not prohibitively so, and the food is well prepared, beautifully presented, and most importantly very tasty.

Popped into Ye Olde Horseshoes for a Sunday roast and was thoroughly impressed. The beef roast was excellent – perfectly pink in the middle, tender, and full of flavour. The roast potatoes were just how I like them: golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. The vegetable medley was fresh and well-cooked, and the gravy tied everything together beautifully. The Yorkshire puddings deserve a special mention – huge, fluffy, and delicious. We were seated in a cosy room that stayed cool despite the heat outside, which I found very comfortable, although my dad thought it was a bit chilly. Prices were reasonable for the quality: £21.50 for the roast, with pints around £5–£6, and a 10% service charge added – fair for the great service we received. Overall, a lovely pub lunch with great food and atmosphere. Would definitely return!

This is a gem of a place. First discovered seven years ago and never bettered. Imaginitive, seasonal food, properly prepared and cooked and served.
