Best Gastro Pubs in Sherborn

After a long high school graduation ceremony and traffic, etc, it was nice to have a reservation at John Stone's Public House becaue we were all starving. My brother and I each had the roasted cod, adorned with a few littlenecks in the shell and generous amount of thick, crispy bacon with the creamy sauce, potatoes and scallions. It was delicious! My 94 year-old mother loved the garlic shrimp. Service was excellent and our waitress was attentive.

Knowledgeable servers, terrific food choices, convenient location in Harvard Square, near the American repertory theater. This is my third time and I really love it.

My group of five absolutely loved our experience. Our food was fantastic, especially the burger and rice cakes, and the ambiance was top-notch. We also had an EXCELLENT server who helped us navigate the different cocktails. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely come again.

My family had a wonderful lunch at GlennPharmer! We chose to have snacks and drinks, as there was an extensive choice of unique appetizers and cocktails that we wanted to try—all delicious! The service was attentive and knowledgeable— this combined with the delicious food, made for a fun dining experience.

The Kale Chaat was excellent and original. The Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan were very good. The two "fusion" items we tried sounded better on paper than what we were served - the Kothu Bolognese was overly dense due to the use of shredded bread instead of noodles, and the flavors weren't very distinct. The Rasam Ramen seemed more like spaghetti in a spicy tomato soup base. It was OK at best. Not reminiscent of Ramen at all. I think it's great that they're trying to mix things up, but the recipes aren't all there yet. That said, the Kale Chaat was great, and I wouldn't mind trying some of the other more traditional Indian dishes.
