The chicken roast dinner was lovely, definitely one of the best roast dinners we had! The starter we had scratch egg and whitebait that was so tasty and the pudding was brownie with ice cream and vanilla yogurt, granola. We would definitely go back. The service was good, we weren’t waiting long for food and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Not set foot in the Broad Face for twenty years, only met a friend there as it was a convenient location but so glad we did! Welcoed warmly, shown to our table, drinks ordered and arrived barely before we had sat down. An extensive menu, very reasonably priced and our hostess took time to.talk us through all the options. We ordered and the food arrived swiftly and was first rate, again our hostess checked without being intrusive if all was well and it was good. The pub has a lovely feel and has both booths and tables as well as places to sit if you just want a drink. Really impressed that a good lunch for two was well under £40 and wil be booking again for sure. First class from low expectations!

Easy to book via Open Table including a time amendment. Took my daughter for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by a bar man on entering and were immediately seen to a very nice table for 4 even though there were two of us giving us plenty of room. Service was prompt and informative. We ordered the warm Sourdough to start which was fresh and nicely warm. My daughter had the Chicken Schnitzel and loved it. I had the Lamb Pave with Moroccan couscous and roasted veg, which was delicious. To finish we indulged in the warm chocolate fondant cake with melted chocolate inside, ice cream and white chocolate sauce. All in all a fabulous experience.
