Best French Restaurants in Far North Dallas

Lavendou is my go-to restaurant for a posh meal. Birthdays, anniversaries, my mother coming to visit, all merit a meal here. The food has always been phenomenal and my personal favorite appetizer, les escargots, are better than I've had anywhere else. I also usually get the sole with crab and cream sauce, which is a delightful dish. Last night the skin was a little tough, which is incredibly rare. I had to use a knife to cut it and that's a first. I cannot complain, truly, it's always a delightful meal. The dessert souffles are not to be missed and be sure to ask for suggestions on a bottle of wine. Every time I have, I've thoroughly enjoyed what they offered.

Our favorite place in the neighborhood. Unpretentious ambiance, close to a French street cafe, with a broad and attractive menu well prepared. The feel reminds me of the old Hall Street Lombardi's.

Service was great. Steak Diane and catch of the day were delicious. The sauces on both entrees were excellent. Definitely plan to return.

Very nice restaurant that my adult daughter wanted to go to for her birthday. Food was excellent as was the service. Place was not very busy so we had no delay with drink or food. Great place for a celebration. They even brought my daughter birthday cake !! So nice… very professional service
