Where toI start! Right; food : exceptional - all three courses for two -perfection! Service: impeccable - a delightful waitress engaged with us, she had expert knowledge about the food, the ingredients, the way it’s cooked, service was flawless, all 6 dishes delivered timely and perfect temperature. Ambience: special, quality, genuine, quaint. I’ve been to Bournes twice this month and it was just as perfect as the first time. And it all feels very genuine in there, not a performance, you can feel a good staff vibe in there and it resonates out. I almost don’t want to recommend it publicly in case it get too fully booked, Bournes is my little secret find, it’s the ace card up my sleeve for when I really want to impress someone with dining out.

Two of my friends have their birthdays in August and guess where they wanted to meet, to celebrate with us? Why Mr Fish of course! Excellent fish, chips and mushy peas, you can always rely on that. Washed down with a delicious glass of rose, a pint of London Pride and a nice cup of tea (not all for me I should say). On each visit, the lovely team appeared singing Happy Birthday to the respective friend and bearing a gorgeous slice of chocolate cake complete with candle. What's not to love? Thank you Mr Fish.

We had a fantastic experience. The food was outstanding, made with the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. Everything was perfect and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
