I was there for dinner on the first night we arrived and stayed at the hotel. We were excited to try the farm to table concept and have ordered the platter to be shared by two of us, the hogget and the red beef rump for rest of the table from their summer menu. The hogget (except the deep fried pieces) and beef rump were both very tough. The platter’s beef and pork were equally tough, despite the beautiful presentation. The sides of the platter were overly seasoned. The saving grace was the dessert - strawberry soufflé and baked Alaska were outstanding.

Attentive staff, added free extras for special celebrations, which is a lovely touch. Food was excellent - highly recommend

Four of us sat in The Star garden under the pergola on Monday lunchtime and enjoyed a very nice lunch with drinks. It was a fairly quiet but beautiful sunny day. The waiter was exeptionally good and very helpful. We all agreed that we would return again.

Absolutely wonderful steak night. The steak was so delicious. Great service and a lovely spot.
