We truly enjoyed dining in Hayward’s gorgeous new space in Carlton. Small plates featured lovely complex flavors - some were unexpected, like the chitarra pasta with clams, harissa, and lamb stock - delicious! Two other favorites were the seafood cake and the roasted mushrooms with ricotta and beets. Don’t overlook the focaccia and koji butter.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Duck was the best we’ve ever had. Pierogi’s were also excellent. We also ordered the ice cream (corn pudding with frozen froi gras) and were blown away. Drinks and staff were also excellent. Not a single bad thing to say. We will be back!

This is a favorite of ours. Specialty cocktails are delicious. The staff is fantastic. Food is great. I ordered a burger medium rare, but it was over cooked. It still tasted great though.
