Table was ready on arrival. Service was a little slow and inattentive but with the intense heat of the day that was certainly excusable. There was no rushing us which we appreciated.

First time my husband and I went to La Plage. It is lovely inside. The bar is beautiful and there are many tables. The dining area is lovely with views of the Mystic River anywhere you sit. The decor is perfect for Mystic and the Seaport next door. Service is amazing. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The food was great. A crudite appetizer was outstanding. The yogurt based dip/sauce with the spice and pepitas made the raw vegetables a standout. My husband and I had Georgette's Hearty Salad. I had mine with steak which had a delicious sauce and was cooked perfectly. My husband had it with Salmon, which he said was also perfectly cooked the way he likes it. The salad had so many flavors and textures and just the right amount of tangy dressing. The wine list is very good and the sparkling rose I had on this very hot day was refreshing. At the end of the meal, we did not want dessert, but the waitress surprised us with a bowl of fresh berries( on the house) because it was my birthday. My husband and I will be coming back-this restaurant hits all the right notes.

Dinner was very good. Service was spectacular! The place is extremely expensive, but worth the money.

Though not on the water, the area was very pretty overlooking the boutique hotels pool. Small menu but everything was done well. Enjoyed!
