Our first time at Herd and it exceeded our expectations. Fabulous starters, exceptional roast with all the trimmings. What’s more impressive is that every single dish on the roast was very well seasoned and delicious. Friendly service, quality ingredients and a beautiful setting. Can’t wait to return! On a side note (and don’t let this detract you from coming for the fabulous food!) : If it’s a chilly windy day, take proper warm clothing even if you are sitting inside. It can get very uncomfortable and door is constantly opened and left open which doesn’t help much.

Wonderful food, amazing menu. Extremely helpful staff. The venison was so tender and melted in the mouth. The John Dorey was an unknown choice however it proved to be delicious and we would have again. A beautiful dining area with plenty of sunlight and open doors letting in cool air on a very pleasant warm day. This restaurant is thoroughly recommended.
