We decided last minute to visit the Pepper Mill and using OpenTable luckily managed a table for two for 8pm. The restaurant was busy and our allocated table was upstairs. Drinks were ordered after a few minutes, fresh water was brought to our table and a few minutes later a bottle of white wine and a lager. 5 mins later freshly sliced bread along with Red Pepper butter appeared as a taster whilst the starters and main courses were ordered. My wife had the giant prawn and I ordered Pastrami (Often seen it on TV - never tried b4). The Prawn was v good; my Pastrami was brilliant and after praising it to the waiter he described how it was made etc. Please keep this on your menu - it was Fabulous. My wife then had Lemon Sole which was good and my Lamb dish (Think it was named T Bone) was both succulent/tasty and well presented. 10/10. The White South African Sauvignon Blanc was spot on also...........so a very enjoyable evening and something we will look forward to next time with friends very soon.

was great service, the staff were very attentive & friendly, was full as is Sparkle weekend in the village, loved my starter of tomato & basil soup, the chicken main course was lovely too! All of us enjoyed the experience & thank you.

It was a pleasant lunch. Nice atmosphere with a reasonable number of diners. Menu main courses were limited to only 4 dishes (pie, fish, burger, vegetarian) although starters, salads, sandwiches & sweets were available too. Service was prompt and polite. I will go back sometime soon for sure.

Absolutely wonderful evening at V&V, the food was exciting and delicious, drinks pairings were great and the wait staff and sommelier were really great and added a bit of banter to the night too. For ten courses we thought this was brilliant value and would love to come back to sample another menu!
