Had a superb night with my wife in the Sword Inn Hand, friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent food and wine choices and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Our first time at Roy's and we had a great evening. Really good food and excellent service, will definitely be returning.

We had a Father's Day meal yesterday - three of us. We ordered a cocktail, wine and beer, a roast beef, vegetarian roast and sea bass. For pudding we had a selection of ice creams, a cherry cheesecake and a sticky toffee pudding. We had latte and black americano coffee. The atmosphere was busy and happy, the waitress friendly and professional. We were welcomed on arrival. The food and drinks were all very well presented and tasted great - very much what we expected from the menu descriptions. Thank you so much. Not cheap for a pub meal, but a really good experience and lived up to expectations.

We enjoyed our lunch and the atmosphere of the restaurant as we were able to sit on the terrace and appreciate the view. However the booking I made seemed unnecessary as no one confirmed our booking on arrival. The waitress was very lovely but did seem a bit under pressure so maybe the other waiter that appeared later should have been there the whole time as the place was quite busy.

This is the second time we have had Sunday lunch here. It was very good, like the first time. Dogs are allowed in the bar area for dining so of course our dog came too. Service was very good, portions were generous, food was hot and tasted very nice, and overall it was a great Sunday lunch.
