Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in South Salem

Well-conceived and prepared flavorful food; warm, welcoming atmosphere and service. Biggest problem is choosing from among so many delicious choices.

Went for dinner last night..... on a whole everything was delicious. Someone in our party had to send back the chicken part as it was very dry, but the waitress quickly offered another item on the menu.... Very nice Will return again

We'e been dining at Basso since it first opened. Now with chef Kelly, the menu is broader with a nice variety of daily specials. Food is very good, service is excellent, and on a Friday night, there is a festive vibe to this great local restaurant.

The polpo was cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious! The Chilean sea bass special melted in your mouth. Staff is incredibly attentive and very friendly. Overall, the place is awesome. Highly recommend for small group, family or date night dinner.

Food is great. Service for coffee was a little long but overall a wonderful evening with friends from Virginia that we brought to zucca. Thank you
