The sauce has a nice kick to it. The house salad and meatballs were also great. It’s currently BYOB until they get their liquor license. We had an IPA with the pizza and a Bourbon Barrel Aged espresso stout with the gelato (gelato is served as 3 scoops with each scoop being a different flavor; vanilla bean, hazelnut and pistachio). I highly recommend it.More infoPIZZ'AMICIPrice: Expensive• Pizza Bar• West Town•4.8

This Italian white is an absolute gem that most Americans need to know about but don't. The Burratta is close to a masterpiece with the roasted red and yellow beets shouted out by their little toasted hazelnut shorties. Also our server Monica was perfect 5 stars! She was attentive immediately and lovely. When she realized it was a business meeting, she chilled and slower her cadence. She is who you want serving you food at a lovely restaurant. My wife is an Italy native (Venezia) and I have traveled all over Italy many, like 15+ times. I know Italian food very well. I grew up in a foodie household with my mother a 1970s foodie, including having taken a week of cooking school classes with Julia Child herself at La Varenne. Alla Vita is one of the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. Let's call it the very BEST, cuz Kevin Boehm is the owner and he's such a cool and great dude! Cinque stelle!!!!!More infoAlla VitaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Italian• West Loop•4.8
- DDeniseVIPChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a great experience at Mano a Mano. There was a small wait but completely understandable since it was restaurant week! No problem since we went next door to Andros and had a drink at the bar. The manager at Andros Dave, was very accommodating. Once we got seated, the manager Jess came to one table with two glasses of wine and apologized for the wait. Our waiter Fidel gave us great recommendations about the food. We ended up doing restaurant week and ordering an additional pasta that Fidel sold us on, which ended up being our favorite dish. Lobster ravioli— 11/10! We got 4 appetizers + table side ciabatta bread. Mushroom polenta and seafood bean soup was delish. I got the Amatriciana and I’m usually not a rigatoni girlie but the noodles were so fresh! The popcorn gelato tasted like cereal milk ice cream! I would go there again just for that. The pasta portions are small but we were so full we ended up taking food home. Great deal for $45. The staff was very attentive, Fidel and Jess checked up on us throughout the night. Hostess was lovely. Service was 10/10!More infoMano a ManoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Logan Square•4.7

- PPeggyChicago / Illinois •8 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 30, 2025Our family of five went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a good friend …we were blown out of the water. The atmosphere was cozy Chicago. It was safe and warm and the service was excellent. Each of us ordered different dishes and they were wonderfully prepared. it is a delightful fusion of many cultures and so good that I wanted to go back. ….The next day ….parking could be a little bit of a challenge, but it is worth every effort.More infoUnico RestaurantePrice: Moderate• Contemporary Italian• Lower West Side•4.9
