Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Berkeley Heights

Our experience was truly wonderful! Danielle was our server, and she was absolutely fantastic. She had an incredible knowledge of the menu and prices, she was incredibly attentive and sweet. Mr. Kimmie was also very kind and attentive. Everyone loved their food, and the beautiful setting made it even more special. And the BYOB option just added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

My bestie and I came here for dinner and had a fabulous meal! We had a reservation and were seated right by the window. The service was attentive and we got our food at the perfect time! We shared the burrata salad to start, which was really fresh. For entrees, we obviously both had to get the cacio e pepe! They make it right in front of you by mixing the pasta in a huge cheese wheel, it was so fun to watch! I’d totally come back just for that dish. It was amazing!

On a terribly rainy Wednesday night, MV delivered a fantastic meal for my birthday. The food was excellent as was the service. Thank you for making my day!

Fantastic meal and service as usual. It was the perfect place to catch up with an old friend and enjoy a superb meal. We started by sharing the zucchini flower appetizer which was heavenly. I had the Trofie Amatriciana and my friend had the Lasagna Bolognese. Both were excellent. I had the Key Lime Pie for desert with cappuccino; both were so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s one of my favorites.

The Garlic Rose never disappoints. We have been going here for meals and events for 17 years! The food is AMAZING and the service is stellar. Recently, we enjoyed a pitcher of the white sangria and it was light and refreshing. I would highly recommend making reservations at the Garlic Rose.
