    Decided to check out this fairly new place in downtown Cincy. It took over the old Spoon & Cellar restaurant location. The ambiance was bright and nice. The service was good and friendly. The food was very good overall; however, we did get our entrees before our appetizer. The burrata appetizer was good, but the cheese lacked flavor. One of us had the grilled New York steak, and I had the Sakura bone-in pork chop. Both were very good overall with great presentations. Dessert was Berries & Cream, which included olive oil cake and an elderflower sabayon. It was a great wrap-up to a great evening out.

    Jinxii was friendly, enthusiastic and very informative, and the manager was kind when he came over to discuss one of our guest's food allergies. The meal was superbly presented and delicious as always! We would highly recommend Alara to anyone interested in fine dining!
