Best Comfort Food Restaurants in West Newton

Our waitress, Caroline, was so patient and attentive to us the entire time we were there! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to eat and to spend the afternoon with friends at!

The staff is very accommodating and food and drinks were outstanding! From salad and starters to fish, chicken, ribs - everything had great flavor and was really enjoyable. We’ll definitely come back!

The food was reasonably priced and tasted average. The dessert was overcooked and burnt inside. It was removed from the bill. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. Seating area could have been cleaner. Wait staff did not clear the tables between courses of meals.

Easy seating, super attentive staff. A little tricky to find because it is IN the hotel, which isn't clear from the Open Table site. It was also incredibly dark. My husband is legally blind and it was impossible for him to read the menu and a bit of a challenge for him to see the food. I noticed other diners using the flashlights on their phones to read the menu. I know dark can be trendy, but it actually limited him significantly and if he had been alone he would have left or needed the staff to read the menu to him. I feel like that is excessive.

This was my second visit to City Streets and we plan on returning with friends. The food was excellent. We shared arancini, then I enjoyed the chicken piccata, while my husband had fish and chips. My daughter enjoyed the shrimp tempura bowl. The restaurant staff is friendly, helpful and very capable. Since there are lots of hard surfaces, the room gets a bit noisy but not as much as other places we have visited. All in all, we are delighted to have discovered City Streets and plan to return many times. We recommend it highly
