This is a cute place with a bit of a gourmet take on Trini food. Most of our dishes were very good. The pelau and escoveitch fish were the real stars. The jerk was perfectly spiced but a little overcooked. The oxtail was well spiced, had some crispiness and bite to it and served more like short rib . Although not traditional, very tasty. The drinks were excellent. The only disappointment was the crispy kale recommended by our server. Next time, I'm definitely trying the cabbage instead.

This first visit will not be my last visit. We were promptly seated at our time of reservation for Brunch. The server was attentive and took our drink and food orders timely. Sorrel-tini- 9/10 Planters punch 8/10. Dj vibe was fantastic. Upstairs was a little dark but the vibe was friendly and festive. The meal did take awhile to come but once it did - all was forgiven Bussup shut &pumpkin- outstanding flavors and portion Shrimp seasoned to perfection. Curry goat & roti a solid 9- flavorful curry and roti was perfectly made. Chicken and croffle- moist seasoned and delicious. Can’t wait to try the dinner menu.

Excellent customer service. Chris was fantastic! Very attentive, and professional with exceptional service.

Everything we ordered was delicious; we had the shrimp and grits, jerk wings, stuffed lamb chops, rice and peas, and bottomless flavored mimosas. The food arrived quickly and piping hot despite the restaurant being packed. However, the portion sizes were a bit small. I never finish my food in one sitting, but after finishing the lamb chops and rice, I still wasn’t full. The space is beautifully designed, even down to the restrooms, with black and gold theme. Seating was congested, leaving very little space in between tables to get by… though I assume this is only the case during brunch to allow a small dance floor by the DJ booth. Speaking of the DJ, he was very entertaining on Mother’s Day but the music was far too loud for the size of the space. No conversation could be held at the table and the waitress could barely hear us to take our order. This actually caused a mistake with our order, but was quickly corrected.
