Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer.     Our first visit to the Pot Kiln and it certainly won't be our last. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent. Not overly priced either. Highly recommend it.

    We met friends at the Hartley Arms, it was convenient for us all as half way between our homes. This was the first time for all of us and the welcome on arrival couldn't have been better. Very relaxed welcoming and we were checked in at our choice of table very quickly and a tab set up at the bar while we waited for our friends. The service was very good and our meals were delicious. The menu was small for Sunday lunch with just the right amount of choice for us, although one of our party would have preferred a burger or chicken, they don't eat vegetables at all but the rest of us had the roast dinner which was very good. The only thing I would say was somewhat of a surprise was the tiny portion of gravy with it. You could buy extra if you wanted it so be aware if you have the Sunday roast. Overall a lovely experience and we would go back again but maybe during the week next time.

    Great experience at Bills Newbury on Father’s Day. We were a table of six and although the restaurant was busy we didn’t have to wait for service. Food great as always, lots of happy faces around us.

    Had a meal here and the food was amazing well presented and hot.the service of the front of house was perfect very professional and friendly.The man that served us was very polite and couldn’t do enough for us will highly recommend. we visited on the 20th of march
