Lock 84 sits in The Reach at Piccadilly, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, ninety seconds from Piccadilly station and looking over the Rochdale canal it's named after.Breakfast through to dinner, with brunch and afternoon tea in between. Executive Chef Chris Hall keeps it local and specific: our signature Manchester scotch egg, made with Bury black pudding; ice cream handmade in Saddleworth; Worker Bee coffee roasted in Stockport. Vimto was invented on Granby Row in 1908, ten minutes' walk from here.The bar pours our own Lock 84 IPA, brewed for us four and a half miles up the road by Manchester's Seven Bro7hers, alongside Manchester Union lager from a brewhouse in Ardwick. It builds ten cocktails of its own, most named for the city that produced them. Every still wine is poured by the glass, not just the house ones, right up to the £89 bottles.Sunday is given over to the roast, every trimming included. Saturdays are bottomless from 12.30.
