A real neighbourhood gem with exceptional service We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at Bistro Union. The food was excellent—thoughtfully prepared, seasonal, and full of flavour. But what really stood out was the warmth and attentiveness of the front-of-house team. Liena, in particular, was outstanding - welcoming, conversational, and genuinely engaged throughout. She struck that rare balance of being present without hovering, and her knowledge of the menu added to the overall experience. It’s always a pleasure to find a place where the service feels as carefully considered as the food. Highly recommended.

Susan was a wonderful host for the wine tasting and had an eclectic fun group of guests. Wines were interesting, a little on the expensive side we thought. I’d definitely advise to eat before attending a tasting as the one slider, limited charcuterie & cheese isn’t sufficient to mop up 10 wines. Overall a lot of fun, lots to learn and we’ll be back.

Fabulously tasty Sunday roasts - generous helpings with prompt and friendly service !

The food was ok. I can't say it was a great steak to be perfectly honest, for the price paid they were both on the small side. We both found the meat rather chewy even though it was cooked to perfection. We do like this place so it's not put us off.
