Best Bars And Lounges in Princeton

We went here after my son's college graduation ceremony. The vibe was 10/10. We had delicious cocktails and tried all the oysters on the menu. Fresh, cold and delicious.. we are partial to east coast oysters . $4 an oyster was expensive but they were all great. They served warm and lightly toasted bread with an herb butter. I ordered the soft shell crab from the specials menu , which was lightly battered and fried beautifully with basmati rice. My older son had the seared tuna, also a special.... delicious and perfectly seared. My older son had the red snapper.. also delicious. We topped off the meal with the bananas foster topped with fresh whipped cream and maple ice cream. So good. We love seafood and have eaten at many places on Long Island, Cape Cod, Annapolis, etc. We agreed that we would come back here if ever in the area again. The menu was great and had a hard time choosing a dish .. if you love seafood and/or fish and are in the area , def make a point to try this restaurant. Our waiter.. I can't recall his name.. was attentive and well informed about the menu. Great celebration meal .

It was a great night, as it always is at Dawson's. We decided late afternoon to come to have a "Marg" and burgers. Everything was perfect from the service to the food. We were surprised we were seated immediately. It was a noisy, lively night. No worries, we had a good time. We visit very often. It's a favorite place!!

We drive from NYC as often as we can. The food is delicious—as good as the best restaurants in the City. And the outdoor dining is perfect. The staff is delightful and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. It’s our favorite place for special occasions! The new appetizer—eggplant Milanese, was perfect. The Chilean sea bass, the halibut, and the burata are always amazing.

Food was good, loved the ambience, DJ played all the hits old and new R&B. Parking was a plus. Great night out!!

We were a large party, but the place was not that crowded on a Monday night. Our waiter was very efficient and attentive, despite covering most of the restaurant. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and thought their food was very good. The jerk dishes in particular were excellent.
