I had the Birria Tacos. Excellent, but unfortunately only offered on Cinco de Mayo as a special. The rice and beans served with them actually had some nice flavor -- much better than the tasteless stuff at typical Mexican restaurants in the US. The only downside of the dish was that it was quite salty -- especially the sauce traditionally served alongside Birria tacos.

Tipsy Taco did not disappoint and is our number one choice for Tex-mex on Route 9. Chips and salsa for prepped us for our entrees which were plentiful as they were flavorful. Beans and rice, however, would have been better than a side of chips. Enough chips already! Drinks were loaded, although we waited a bit too long to get them. Our server was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The manager was working hard right along with his staff and suggested we come back again. Our server informed us of HAPPY HOUR specials and time. AMPLE PARKING is a problem.

We are visiting in Albany as my husband has a surgery scheduled. We were overjoyed to find this restaurant which coincidentally was connected to the hotel where we were staying. Being unfamiliar with the area, we were unsure how it would go. My husband is a very picky eater, who cooks for our family at home and is rarely satisfied with a meal at a restaurant. However, he ordered the prime rib special since it was Wednesday night and he was blown away! He said it was the best prime rib he had ever eaten and that says a lot coming from him. In addition, the atmosphere was warm and colonial and our waiter was outstanding. We will definitely come here again if we’re in the area and we highly recommend it for others.

Love the pizza and manhattans! The plants make the whole restaurant feel so cozy, yet fresh! Highly recommend!
