It is a place where generation after generation of families has come to meet friends and family. It is a place where newcomers to the valley soon become old friends.The Brass Door, formerly known as the 8/5 Club, was established by Howard Schlesinger in 1946. It was originally a six-stool bar and 20-person dining facility. Schlesinger's son, Mickey, and his partner Dick Basso bought the club in 1955. Soon after, they renamed the club The Brass Door. Over the years, the partners expanded the facility to include a 20-stool bar, 50-seater cocktail lounge and a dining area for 160 guests. Following a brief closure in 1994 due to a fire, the restaurant was rebuilt from its original location.

    We are vegan so we frequent Blossom & Root Restaurant alot. Our favorites are the caeser salad, pasta, soups, curry dish, shrubs and mocha cappuccino. The staff is consistently top notch and we get personalized service! We highly recommend this quaint restaurant in downtown Danville!

    We had a fantastic dining experience at LB Steakhouse Bishop Ranch San Ramon. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making it the perfect place for a special family celebration. The food was exceptional—our buffet had fantastic options and the desserts were just as impressive. The bloody mary bar was a hit as well! A special mention must go to our server, Ana H, who was kind, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to make the afternoon memorable. Without us asking, she secretly organised a dessert with a candle for my nephew, who was celebrating his graduation—it was such a thoughtful touch and made the day even more special. I come from Australia and was only visiting for the occasion and this really made the day unforgettable. Thank you, Ana H! Excellent service, outstanding food, and a truly memorable experience. We’ll definitely be returning!
